A new breadmaking machine, Panasonic meant new learnings.
2nd attempt (1st didnt mix properly so utter failure) this has worked a treat. (It was set upside down when first taken out so slightly squashed) I used the basic bread recipe adjusted to quantitys to fit my bread machine (400g flour), with a little butter (same amount less water) and a touch of sugar. Cooked on the fast basic bread recipe. Really chuffed and it tastes great.
And cook better in the middle
Try a smaller loaf, say 250g of flour That will make around a 1lb loaf
Update, while good, this bread can be improved on. Initial excitement somewhat tarnished as the bread got heavier and more doughy towards the centre. Tweaks to come.
