A very mild sweetness with no after taste perhaps 60% the sweetness of sugar for use as a bulk sweetener in baking recipes or to sweeten drinks, etc. Fibersugar is a blend of 50% erthritol and a sweet soluble fibre. It is more soluble than erythritol and can be used to make a syrup. The soluble fibre component is produced by Tate&Lyle and sold under the brand Promitor as a pre-biotic. It has much less gas production than other pre-biotics derived from chicory such as inulin and FOS (fructo-oligosaccarhide).
