    Ketogenic 'bread' pizza??

I didn't think it was possible, but it most definately is! I found Fiberflour on Amazon after typing in low carb. I decided to give it a try. 500g made four delicious pizza bases, and i am now hooked! I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and adopted a low carb way of eating. I have been ketogenic (under 20g of carbs per day) for 6 months. This flour will give me back the bread i have been missing from my life! 😊

That's fantastic, me Cambria and Camron have been enjoying pizza parties with this stuff for 5 years....just hope more can do the same. By the way check your blood glucose 1 hour after your pizza and let us know the result. I have often seen a drop in my glucose after eating pizza till I was stuffed.

I have another question, one you may not be able to answer. I am following a Ketogenic way of eating, less than 20g of carbs per day. I count net carbs eg total carbs minus fibre, equals net carbs. How does that work if there is more fibre than carbs? I don't know how many carbs to count when im eating a scrummy pizza made from Fiberflour. Clanhutchy

Confusion regarding counting carbs arises because US nutritional labeling regulations are different to EU regulations.

In the US fibre is included in total carbohydrates, whereas in the EU fibre is listed separately from carbohydrates.

In US it is written like this:

    Total carbohydrates x gm

    of which sugars y gm

    of which fiber n gm

So only with US labels do you have to subtract fiber from carbs in order to get net carbs. If you have been doing this with EU labels you have been drastically underestimating net carbs. The pizza dough that you made has roughly 9 g/100g (net) carb and 24 g/100g fibre.

The confusion is common when ordering products from online stores that sell products imported from USA. For example Joseph's Flatbreads is a big seller in UK and label total carbs to include fibre, so net carbs is the difference between the two.

You really need to be a private detective to interpret food labels, don't let me start on "INGREDIENTS"

Well....ive been doing this for over a year and i didn't know that! Ketosis hasn't been very big in the uk until recently, and all the information ive found on the web, has been from America. Very interesting, thank you!

Thank you so much for this info. I will have to read the labels a little differently. Hopefully I will now have more success!

See how you can transform your macro intake by converting to daily bread of fiberflour. Importantly, the fibre component dramatically suppresses appetite, If you want to lose weight by intermittent fasting or one meal a day OMAD, try asking your self "How hungry am I, do I really need to eat this now?" Then just eat when you're hungry. I have been doing this for quite a while and find OMAD very easy to do, really never hungry.
